First written by SaharaSafaris and 0 others, on Wed, 2000/01/26 - 7:20pm, and has been viewed by 1 unique users

This is the basic plan of SWYnet sent in the old SWYnet.
In order to restart the discussion here I posted this once
again.

===========Basic plan=============================
1) Name ----SWYnet
"SWYnet" seems to be accepted by most of the participants.
No need to change.

-----------

2) The Purpose of SWYnet. (Ashu's suggestion)
(1) To build a global friendship.
(2) To establish a good & very deep discussion table for
world issues & problems.
(3) To help each other sharing knowledge & experience.

-----------

3) Usage examples (Abdullah's suggestion)
(1) you can share information
Like the news of "Global Reunion 2000 in UAE" we can
send information of the reunion or some events interesting
PYs.

(2) you can look for a friend of SWY,
You have got a lot of friends in SWY but SWYnet provides
more oppotunities to meet other SWY's friends.

(3) you can ask assistance. Personal to Public.
Aid assistance, a travel assistance or lodging assistance.

-----------

4) Regulations( Ashu and Fredrik's suggestion)
(1) Every Particpants of SWYnet has the right to express.
Feel free to make any comments and feeling on any issue as
long as you don't attack to the dignity of indivisual and don't
infringe the anyone's privacy. No taboo and censership.
But, any communication and debate should be done in order
to make deeper and wider mutual understanding and build world
friendship.

(2) Massages must be in English.

(3) Don't send any private messages such as a greeting to
just one person selectively. General greeting to all of the
net subscribers is O.K. but give value to your message.
If you write just "a happy new year!" the message is not so
unique unless you were the Pope, the President, or a movie star.
Try to write something only you can express. It can be your
opinion or poem. Sharing your feelings and questions is also great.

(4) Don't send any attachment or html files, or private pictures.
For showing pictures, use the website and link.

(5) Identify yourself , name, delegation, participation year.

(6) Don't send same massage more than 1 time.

-----------

If you want to modify, add or oppose to any of them, please
feel free to send your idea to SWYnet.

I will send the schedule of SWYnet reform in the next mail.

Onto 4) (3) Abdullah suggested amendment

...modifying this "General greeting to all of the net subscribers is O.K."
to
General greeting to all of the net subscribers or a group of them is O.K."

Original:

"(3) Don't send any private messages such as a greeting to
> just one person selectively. General greeting to all of the
> net subscribers is O.K. but give value to your message.
> If you write just "a happy new year!" the message is not so
> unique unless you were the Pope, the President, or a movie star.
> Try to write something only you can express. It can be your
> opinion or poem. Sharing your feelings and questions is also great."

If we agreed of sending a message to all the participants, I think we also
may agreed of sending a message to a grope of them as well! Like sending a
special message to SWY8 grope or other year, or a greeting to all Japanese
for a special Japanese events or to other country delegation, or like a
greening to Muslims for Ramadhan, or for Christians for Christmas etc. Under
the condition that you mentioned in Number 4., That is:
"But, any communication and debate should be done in order to make deeper
and wider mutual understanding and build world friendship."

My regards and respect to you and all who contributed in this discussion.
