I am one of the SS members but I was busy in the last two
weeks, but I still read most of the nice contributions in this
group which I admire and appreciate.

I didn`t have the chance to meat you and I am looking
forward to this moment.
I am away for 3 weeks and I will be back in couple of days.

I know you had enough from every body, but I would also like
to add my voice to my frinds in SS.

But I have a quick respond to your great idea about selling our
monuments.
My friend, It is a great idea to every one in this world, Except
Egyptians.
Man:
* It is our Local Identity.
* It is our Heritage.
* It is our History.
* It is the most valuable stock that we have now.
* It is an educational tool for the coming generations.
* It is (almost) the only thing we should be proud of these
days.

We should look forward to re-build this civilisation not to sell it
to others.
It is part of us (EGYPTIAN) and we cant sell our selves, or we
will loose allot.
My Friend,
1- I disagree with the argument of selling our heritage to
spread it all over the world.
2- I won`t discuss your second reason for that which is
collecting money to develop our economy, I can`t accept this
reason at all.

I am looking forward to seeing you, because it is worth to
explore more and more your personality which comes up with
these ideas. I do not know if you spent more time outside
Egypt or if your education had a different vision for our
locality, that is why I am looking forward to knowing you more
and exchange opinions with you.

I hope one day you appreciate and realise the real value of
Egyptian Heritage and I really want you to understand
that "Things that you can buy or sell or trade with money are
the cheapest things in your life".

My friend, keep your brave ideas on.... you may come up with
an extreme positive idea could solve all our problems.
Stay in touch

Your Egyptian Brother

Dear Noha & All,

That was a nice article to read, thanks for sharing.

I always thought that there are still lots and lots of other
monuments, tombs, and chambers to be discovered. It really
gives a feeling of superiority as an Egyptian to know that one's
country has all these treasures. However, while I was reading
this article.. a snapshot came to mind of other neglected,
stolen, and smuggled monuments and statues.. and a crazy
thought came to mind among all that.. why not the country sell
these neglected unused monuments to other countries who are
more interested in our history?! From one side, the country
will get enough money to pay its debts and refresh the
economy that everyone is pretending that it's alright and
untouched!.. and from the other side these monuments would
get more attention, care, and popularity all over the world.
What do you guys think?.. and please, no violence! :-)

It's a crazy thought, I know! :-)

Bonjour,
Khaled
