Hi everyone..
Well..been asked what "Camel" ?my nickname- is all about, and here I
tell you all about it..
You've got to know that camels are very special animals, especially
for me (like dolphins are for Dalia). They are sensitive, shy, loyal,
& proud. Camels & dogs are the only animals that look for their
owners when their owners lose their way.
On the other hand, they never forget those who mistreat them, & will
tend to avenge whenever they get the chance.
Camels also have tears (I've seen them before)..& shedding tears is
their way of blaming you if you hurt them..if they cry, you're
safe..if not, then you should worry, because they will avenge!
Camels are very shy & proud as well..when they mate, they typically
pick a perfect hideout so that no one can watch them. If ?for your
bad luck- you came across them while they're mating, & the male camel
took notice of you, then ?believe me- he will avenge..all you can do
then is run away like hell & yell "I didn't mean
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit"!
Bedouins call camels: Atallah (Gift of God), because everything about
camels is of benefit: they are beasts of burden, & their milk, flesh,
wool, skin, & bones are of use.
Bedouins have so many myths about camels, & I'll try to mention some:
They say that God has 100 names, rather than just 99, but only a
camel knows the 100th name. It's this knowledge that gives camels
much patience in their long marches across the desert!
One other myth just for you:
Never walk behind a camel in the desert! Why? Because camels are
usually shadowed (followed) by genies in the wilderness!!
Had enough? Well..just one more thing..even my favorite band is an
Irish band called "Camel". For those of you who don't know the band,
they play psychomelodramatic space rock, & if you're a big desert
lover, then don't miss their albums "Mirage" & "Rajaz". I'll be
interested to share more info on camel (the creature, & the band..&
