it's been a long time since I have written something on the group...
certainly a lot of time since I have organized an event (been participating in event organizing though:)
anyway...
I'm planning for a hike to St. Catherine Mountain this week-end (yeah i know it's a very short notice), we will be taking off from Cairo around 7 PM, Thursday, arrive to Catherine at around 12:1 AM. spend the night , then start climbing the mountain early friday. (and by early I mean 7am for a start:).
We will be spending the night at the top of the mountain (yes get your sleeping bags and tents if you want)..and will be climbing down on saturday , have lunch at St. Catherine town, then hit the road back to Cairo (YuKkkkkk)
if you're interested, please consider the following:
1- this is considered to be a medium difficulty hike (No climbing)..that needs some fitness ..but most of all..commitment:). So if you have any ankle or knee injury you can save your energy in order not to delay the group.
2- the top of the mountain is AMAZINGLY BEATIFUL...you get to be at the TOP OF EGYPT....so please....if you're planning to come..make sure you are not offended by those who like SILENCE..and contemplation..:).....music, musicians and singers are definitly welcome...but loud voices and groups are ...what can i say....LESS WELCOMED:)
3- the weather reports state that we might be expecting some rain...and it's gonna be a little COLD...so bring your warm stuff with you:)
4- timing is very important...so please make sure you commit to the group timing if you're planing to come...
5- make sure you bring your ID's
6- for all those into photography..this is one AMAZING SCENE in Egypt...get your gear..:)
