Dear EPers,
The dream of any photgrapher is to see his works displayed, seen,
critisized and commented at by others. It is then when he feels that a
value has been added to his works.
The EP presentation coupled by the exhibition currently held at El
Sakkia was a good chance for photographers - both professional and
amateur ones - to demonstrate their works and talents.
The effort spent behind such an event should have been certainly a
great one. We all received and distributed invitations, attended the
presentation in a well reputed location, received catalogues and CDs,
and went back homes happy. However remains the fact that behind
reserving such place, finding sponsorship to cover the event's
expenses, priniting the invitations, doing the electronic presentation,
setting out deals with print shops like Fuji to enlarge pics at special
prices, copying CDs, distributing everything, and bringing all this
bits and pieces to come up finally with such a successful event , lies
surely long hours of consistent efforts and hectic times of long
preparations to make the event come to life in such a presentable way.
For this and more, and on behalf of all the people who enjoyed the
event-whether EP members or outsiders- I am sending a big "Thank You"
for Ahmed El Nemr, Amr Orensa and every active member whose name has
been mentioned in the CD, and for all the active members who have
participated in such a great effort. Those people are only driven by
their passion for photography and their sincere will to help others
take their first steps towards the Photography world. Not only this,
but they are pleased to offer all their efforts without expecting any
materialistic return; a moral hard to find elsewhere outside Egypt
Photgraphy. We therfore, all owe them a big "Thank You".
May the success we all touched in such an event be a continuous
motivation for more successful events to come.
