SUMMARY OF MC PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
The MC assumes overall responsibility for promoting FTE's brand and Fair Trade philosophy and is responsible for core internal and external marketing & communication tasks.
The MC will supervise FTE sales team and will work in close coordination with the product developer and export coordinator to ensure a consistent policy, image & message to the public & partners and that FTE staff are equipped with the right communication tools.
The MC may be assisted by interns and volunteers in the implementation of various tasks. The work plans and tasks given to the interns or volunteers will be developed, coordinated and followed up by the MC, upon the approval of the Manager.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCES)
University Education & Experience of a minimum one year in marketing;
Affiliation with Fair Trade philosophy, cultural sensitivity and interest in social development. Interest in ethnic, handicraft and environment-related topics;
Fluency in written and spoken English, fluency of Arabic is of advantage. Extra languages are an asset.
Excellent people, communication and writing skills. The ability to establish and follow up relationships effectively with a wide variety of customers;
Dynamic, self-motivated and initiative taker;
Sales orientation and the ability to work flexible hours;
Ability to travel within Egypt or internationally as per the needs of the post;
Experienced user of Word, PowerPoint, and standard internet applications (research, e-mail messaging etc);
Familiarity with design software such as Corel Draw and Photoshop is an asset;
