A development project in Katerina, South Sinai is currently seeking for a fresh graduate architect. The project is funded by the European Commission under the South Sinai Regional Development Program (SSRDP) and is operating by the Egyptian Earth Construction Associatoin (EECA), a local non profit association. Project : Architectural Character Development for the Settlements on Authentic Bedouins Vacancy : Junior Architect Job Description: 1. Drawing all technical drawings needed for research and construction phase as well as a drawings included in guideline booklet 2. Follow up labors progress 3. Following up on training activities -including lime plastering, rammed earth, vaults & arches constructions- which are carried out monthly for the Bedouins 4. Reporting to the project manager Job Requirements: 1. Good free-hand skills and proficiency in using 2D & 3D CAD applications 2. Excellent communication skills; you will be dealing with Bedouins most of the time, which requires enough tolerance, open mind, responsibility and respect towards the local community 3. Ability to work independently, perform research and field surveys and meet deadlines 4. A very good command of English language.
