Greetings lovely SWY family,

It is with great pleasure that I announce that the inaugural
YouthfulCitiesINDEX (ranking the world's top cities from a youth
perspective with over 2000 points of data and 80 unique indicators) was
launched last week in London after one year of hard work and the help of
thousands of youth around the world!

I invite you all to explore the results and the rankings by browsing our
website: www.youthfulcities.com

There were quite a few surprises along the way. The YouthfulCitiesINDEX has
proven to be a platform for some unsuspecting cities to make their mark on
the global arena. In the global rankings Johannesburg, South Africa came in
second for their Art and Fashion sector; Lagos, Nigeria came in 4th in
entrepreneurism; Toronto, Canada won the Diversity measures; Mexico City
ranks 1st in terms of access to Education; Shanghai, China wins with the
lowest youth unemployment rates; Tokyo, Japan leads the Economic Status
category.

Over the next few weeks we will be releasing key insights into the data -
If you want to receive the press releases let me know or you can check the
press page of our website.

Though we have come a long way in a short time, the real fun begins now as
we activate the results of the index on the local level.

Also, we are already signing up the next round of cities to be included in
the 2015 YouthfulCitiesINDEX. If you think your city is youthful and want
to add it to the list for next years index (starting January 2014) - or if
you want to get involved as one of our multi talented Urban Decoders - let
me know.

Alternately, if you know of someone who would be interested in
participating in the initiative in your city; or if there is someone we
absolutely should talk to or connect with we welcome your suggestions.

This January I will be in the Middle East and will likely visit a few
cities in the Gulf. I would love to visit any of you who call this part of
the world home.

As always, thanks everyone! Sending warm regards your way.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Sonja
