A couple of questions.

Hi,

Sorry if this annoys anyone, but I have to ask it.

Does anybody know whether Bush is simply the late result of some early Cold War experiment?

That would greatly help understanding things!

But then again, how would I understand his followers? Experiments, as well??????

I don't know about that..but I can tell you this...I was personally
extremely distraught that the Republican party is now controlling both the
House of Representatives and the Senate. That means that Republicans, who
happen to be extremely trigger happy and war prone (yes, I know I'm
generalizing) are in control of the White House and Congress. I am afraid
of what results in this shift of power.

Well, guys

The only thing I can tell you is that I respect the "democratic" process by which many people in the USA have demonstrated their support to the Bush administration

I would not be bothered at all, if Bush's actions would be limited to the US territory. The US citizens (and legal aliens) would have to deal with that. And, I am sure that many people, like Dahlia, are worried not only about the imbalance of power (too one sided now), but by the internal comotion that this may cause.

Unfortunately for the rest of us, Bush's actions affect the whole World, specially the Developing World (because we are weaker). But even in Europe, people care about what happens "internally" in the USA. Even here (in Italy), his decisions have an impact. Also because Berlusconi, is one of Bush's dog, like Blair and Aznar.

It seems like we will have a war (military intervention) in Iraq. Just yesterday, in Florence during the Europe Social Forum, almost 1 million people demonstrated against the war, and also against many other "one-sided" policies that affect the whole world.

Yes, Bush and his friends have the power, the money, the influence. But WE are millions of people, tired of the abuse. I am just worried that this WAR in Iraq, is just the start of a series of big scale conflicts.

Some will win with all these (we know who), many (the majority) will continue loosing.

Shall we just continue praying ............ ??????? Demonstrating is good, but is not enough. What shall we do ??? Become violent ourselves ??? Start small revolutions all around the world ??? Take the power in our hands ??? How, if we do not have the "weapons" ??? Or maybe we have other type of weapons. What is the alternative ???

I am not sure yet.
