ADEW is a private non-governmental organization (NGO),
which works directly with Female Heads of Households and their families, and lately
with the youth people as well, in the poorest areas of Cairo, Qalyubia and
Gharbia governorates. ADEW works for developing the status of women on the
national and local level.
ADEW was first registered as a non-governmental
organization with the Egyptian Ministry of Social Affairs in 1987 under
registration number 3528, then was re-registered in 2002 under the same number
in compliance with the requirements of the new NGOs law 84/2002
General Job Description:
The researcher will be responsible for presenting ADEW's activities in a good
quality and attracting decision makers' attention to our problems which s/he
presents, by conducting studies, field and office researches, writing reports
on seminars and conferences and writing articles and letters in addition to
re-drafting reports and official correspondence to ADEW's other units.
Required Qualifications:
-- B.A degree in social sciences.
-- Computer Proficiency (Office-Internet)
-- very good English Language proficiency.
-- 2 years experience in development field, especially in the field of research
and studies.
-- Familiarity with the methods of scientific research and editing
publications.
Personal Qualifications:

Research and Studies:

-- Participating in the preparation of the content of ADEW's publications.

General Job description:
The media unit coordinator will be responsible
for the image of ADEW against public opinion, decision makers and media
professionals. S/he will be responsible for designing the annual plan and the
budget of the unit as well as providing funding for the unit and carrying out
all administrative and organizational work. The media unit coordinator is
involved in the implementation of all media activities, public relations, and
advocacy campaigns, which includes organizing conferences and symposia, writing
researches and studies, releasing publications, documentation and follow-up, in
addition to producing ADEW'S documentaries and strengthening and promoting
relations between ADEW and the mass media and decision makers. S/he will be
also responsible for marketing on the part of the unit to provide services for
profit to external bodies. S/he will be responsible also for writing project
proposals for the unit's funding, In addition to the membership of ADEW's
Coordinating Committee.
Monitoring, Reporting and Evaluation: The media
unit specialist will develop quarterly action plans and update them based on
regular and close monitoring and ensure that program strategy and action plans
are effectively applied
Marketing: includes developing and implementing a
marketing strategy to reach relevant stakeholders and NGOs to market for the
unit services including: events organizations, film making, developing
websites..etc.

• Personal innovative and creative.
• Superb communication, persuasion and presentation skills
• Commitment and sense of belonging to ADEW and maintaining their resources.

Requirements:
· 7 years
experience in development of whom at least 3 years in similar managerial
position.
· Strong
managerial and team work skills
· Very good
English language proficiency, speaking, writing and reading.
· Proficiency
in Arabic language and methods of scientific research, editing and publishing.
· Proficiency
in dealing with computers and databases.
· Good
knowledge of the rules of writing project proposals and dealing with donors.
· Proficiency
in marketing skills.
· Knowledge of
the challenges and impediments facing women and means to overcome them is
important.
· Familiarity
with the rules of public relations and the experience of dealing with media
professionals.
· Familiarity
with the rules of organizing conferences and advocacy campaigns.
· organized,
